Historically known as the PRODIS, the Northern NSW Journalism Awards drew its original name from the "Provincial District" of the Australian Journalists' Association (now the Media Alliance).
The region stretches from the Hawkesbury to the Queensland border and to the northwest of the state.
In 2006 the committee is embarked on a search to assemble the history of the PRODIS awards. It is hoped that this website will become a repository for historical photos, reminsicences and clippings.
It will also serve as a honour board recognising excellence in journalism in our region.
If you were a winner of a PRODIS Award, or you know somebody who was, the the committee wants to hear from you.
You can contact us via the website, or tell a member of the committee.
Whatever you know about the history of "the PRODIS" we'd love to hear about it.
